SHOP THE LOOK

Spring is finally here! Time to break out the pastels and pretend it isn't still chilly outside. I always tend to get ahead of the seasons a little bit, and I've had a pink tulip wreath on our front door since mid-February, but now that winter is officially over, I can spread my spring vibes with abandon. I absolutely love spring in the south. The dogwoods are in full bloom, and all the tulip and daffodil bulbs that my neighbors -- who are better planners than I -- planted last spring are starting to peek out. (Can someone remind me to plant bulbs next Fall?) It's about to start getting warm enough (hopefully!) to leave your windows open to enjoy the fresh air, and I've got feminine florals on the brain. If I didn't have to compromise with my brawny, beer-drinking, beefcake of a husband, I would absolutely love to bring florals into every room, but since he's worth the compromise, this design will have to tide me over. See more about my spring-inspired design below.

Details

  1. coral side table White with pops of color is one of my favorite looks in any season, and this bright coral certainly pops.

  2. floral duvet I'm absolutely obsessed with this print from the NatalieMalan shop on Roostery.com. Roostery and its sister sites Spoonflower and Sprout are some of my all time favorite decor sites. Graphic designers from all around the world post their prints on the site, and Roostery, Spoonflower, and Sprout allow you to create fabric, pillows, duvets, sheets, wallpaper, clothing, and much more in the print of your choice. This is great for creating custom pieces you won't find in stores.

  3. Vintage vogue cover I love the feminine elegance this vintage Vogue cover adds to the room, and the palette of this piece fits with the spring vibe.

  4. rug This cheery yellow rug could brighten the mood in any room. I also love that this one is indoor/outdoor - which is an absolute must in our dirty house.

  5. vase & flowers The playful blue print on this vase is so much fun, and it ties nicely to the blue accents in the duvet. The flowers add to the fresh, feminine feel of this room. Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers, and this faux version allows me to enjoy them spring after spring.

  6. headboard Wingback tufted headboards are so classic and can be styled a million ways (and trust me, you'll see this piece again in my designs). This headboard was custom made for our guest bedroom by Adams Furniture. Adams is a North Carolina based designer that showcases at antique markets all over the country, and lucky for me, they come to the Scott Antique Market in Atlanta every month
