Summer Project "Before" Reveal

I'm so excited to be back at the blog after two weeks away. My first week away, I was couchridden with the worst flu I've had in years (even though I got my flu shot), and this past week I was in Las Vegas for RECon (a huge retail real estate conference) for work. Las Vegas was a little too fast-paced for me, and I'm really looking forward to slowing things down at the lake with my family this Memorial Day weekend.
Last week on my instagram, I revealed that I'm working on a secret summer project that involves shiplap. Before I disclose my project, I want to show you the "before" picture for the space I'm working on. About a year ago, my husband and I moved from our Buckhead condo to a single family home in the Atlanta suburbs. There are so many things I love about our house and so many projects I have in mind that I can't wait to share with you, but one room that particularly inspired me during our first tour of the house was the one pictured above. This room sits just above our garage and has a ton of square footage. As you can see in the picture (from the listing photos), the prior owners used this large space as a playroom for their little girl. Our house also has a basement, so I didn't feel the need to retain this room as an upstairs playroom. As soon as I saw this room with its sloped ceilings and great natural light, I was inspired to build a room that I've been dreaming of for years.
Can you guess what project I'm working on in this room? What would you do in this space? [To the friends and family reading this who know about my project - NO SPOILERS!]
Stay tuned as I slowly but surely share more details and photos of my progress on this secret project!
